Howcast partners and directors are rocking the interview circuit today.
First, Nick Prueher, one half of Howcast Studios Director Milkhouse is the featured interview on today’s Chicagoist, discussing their Found Footage Festival. Very cool stuff. Check out their trailer on Chicagoist and make sure to stop by if you happen to be in the Chicago area on Friday. If you can’t make it to the Windy City on such short notice, see the famous duo in action with their zodiac love series right here on Howcast: What’s Your Sign.
Also getting some interview action is Nick Ayres, Interactive Marketing Manager for The Home Depot (a fantastic Howcast partner) on the MarketingProfs Daily Fix. Check out some of the useful Home Depot videos featured here on Howcast, like How to Caulk Windows and Doors —a must-watch if you want to seal in the heat and save some cash this winter.
And we have to mention partner NextNewNetworks, producer of the very cool ThreadBanger shows here on Howcast and on ThreadBanger.com. In their latest episode, they feature Howcast’s creative costume ideas for Halloween: How to Make a Cowboy Costume and How to Make a Vampire Costume. Very cool indeed. If you’re looking for more costume ideas, check out the ThreadBanger video: How to Make Ninja Mittens and channel your inner Ninja on the 31st.

Tonight, it’s the glorious moment we’ve all been waiting for: Biden vs. Palin, Celebrity Deathmatch-style. The potential veeps will battle head-to-head (how much would you pay for some toe-to-toe?) in front of an expected 50 million people, all of them no doubt totally transfixed. Just 90 minutes will determine who experiences the thrill of victory, and who suffers the agony of defeat. Democracy rules!
What better way to celebrate the Rumble in Missouri than to create a game around it? And not just any game—a drinking game. Well, we’ve gone ahead and done it for you, and admit it—you wanted us to. So check out How to Turn a Presidential Debate into a Drinking Game. We’ll certainly be playing along here at Howcast….Will you?
P.S. To prep yourself for the impending doom of tomorrow morning, you also might want to check out our tips on How to Cure a Hangover. Just saying.

What’s that word when you give a eulogy for someone who’s not dead? A condominium? An aquarium? An encomium?
Well let me just say this: Tom Bender is not dead.
“Who is this Tom Bender?” you might be asking yourself, and, “Why the condominium?” Well, the answers are many-fold. Tom Bender is…
- a gifted editor
- a brilliant director
- an expert documentarian
- a non-practicing physicist
- a super-fast talker
- a stand-up guy
- a valued contributor to the world of Howcast who is (sniff) leaving us today
Tom came aboard as an assistant editor back in… I don’t know, June? July? One weekend Tom roved around with a camera and made How Not to Get Mugged — which immediately became one of our favorites — its classically Howcast: fun, entertaining and actually useful.
Every video Tom has made since, has been funnier and more lovingly crafted than the last — from How to Have Safe Sex to How to Get an Internship. Check out his Howcast Profile to see for yourself: http://www.howcast.com/users/bender

Today is Tom’s last day at Howcast, though we know he’ll be back someday. Tom is continuing on the path he created for himself at Howcast — directing new projects from a unique, fresh angle. Check out Tom’s web site to keep track of what he does next: http://www.cashfortimesharesnow.com and continue to watch his classic Howcast videos.
Tom Bender is going places. And he is not dead.
